Urban Development

The images on this page are actual scenes collected with a Spectra-View® system. They pertain to urban development but are not limited to it. Planning routes, monitoring traffic flows, real estate site evaluations, mapping urban growth, zoning, monitoring snow drift patterns, planning rest-stops, and wetland delineation are just a few of the major applications. Utilities and transmission line load planning, mapping, and encroachment are some additional applications. All studies of this type are important to our future growth.

Assessment & Zoning

Multi-spectral imagery could be used for land cover maps that would aid in the planning of new roads, changes in population due to changes in land cover, tax assessment, commercial and residential zoning, and recreational facility planning and alteration. A golf course and the ball diamond, as well as tennis courts and other recreational facilities are clearly visible in the image to the right and may aid in determining the plans for new facilities or changes of the old ones in the future.

Gas & Pipeline Leaks

Determining the placement of pipes, transmission substations, wires, and cables is crucial. Monitoring gas and pipelines for leaks is also an important application.

Urban Wetland delineation

Spectra-View data can be used to monitor urban wetlands as well as delineate porous from non porous surfaces in order to calculate drainage needs in newly developed areas, as well as asses potential expanded runoff needs.
