ig7
remote sensing
This is a sample of the imagery collected by a SpectraView® system of the Mt. Rushmore area. The image is a false color base with a pseudo thermal overlay. This imagery is available from the SpectraView® system in less then two hours after the aircraft touches down. The image identifies healthy vegetation (red), and burnt areas (black). The light green area on the bottom right of the image indicates the hottest areas of the active fire. The longitude and latitude of the flame fronts and hot spots can be accurately releyed to the on scene fire personnel.
